Particle condensates in general magnetic mirror geometries high-temperature plasmas may be caused by a discrete resonance with thermal ion-acoustic background noise near points. The breaks the bounce symmetry, temporally locking particles to resonant wavelength. relevant correlation lengths are Debye length parallel direction and ion gyroradius perpendicular direction.
